I had a really good yoga day.
Great class as a student and then a fantastic class as a teacher.
Yoga teacher training not only created a stronger practice for myself but I’ve had so much growth in my confidence and social anxiety. Yes, i am still a weirdo, but at least my body and voice are not quivering every time i meet someone new or am in an unfamiliar social situation. I was terrified of public speaking when i started, just imagining meeting an onslaught of new faces every class made me want to vomit back then.
I was super scared of my abilities to create a class as well not to mention teach proper alignment. I was certain everyone would get hurt practicing with me and I used to write down entire scripts for my first few classes. Slowly over time i stopped using that method and made outlines. Now in my last few classes I didn’t bring a guide or plan, just taught from reading the energy of the room and from my heart.
Now this doesn’t mean I’ll never make a sequence or outline again! I enjoy it for sure. It’s just nice to know I can wing 😉
It’s an absolute joy to teach and I am in love with it.
Anyway, big thank you to @karsonmcginley @lightdancer555 @brenthonnerlaw @janetotto and Tierney for being so inspirational and yall are amazing teachers!
That’s all 😝 had to share :) Namaste 🕉
