Left the Grand Canyon yesterday after hiking the infamous Bright Angel Trail. 17.5 miles, 5k ft elevation change, hottest day of the year, a 16 hr excursion.
It was absolutely stunning. Every corner had a picturesque view. My eyes were never hungry. I’m overwhelmed with pride for myself and my friends for managing to make it to the bottom and back in a day.
I had the gift of human air condition the whole time and never felt hot. My perspiration was synchronized with the heat so i was never actually sweaty as it evaporated as quickly as it appeared... literally did not feel too hot ever. It’s pretty cool that we can sweat, hurray sweat!
