The cutest kinder I ever did see. 🥰 We’ve had 5 weeks of school (already?!) and we’re still fine tuning things to make Amellia’s learning experience the best it can be. It’s not easy, for Amellia or me or the school staff to analyse what’s working and what’s not, but it’s necessary. You don’t realize how tricky school can be until you have a kid who isn’t neuro typical. Some days I’m super encouraged, other days I want to quit (just being honest). But then I stop and think about how fortunate I am to be able to be with Amellia full time at school. We’ve requested a 1 on 1 at her 30-day IEP last week and we should know mid-October if that’s approved or not. 🤞🏼 In the mean time both Amellia and I will be showing up day after day, trusting that the hardships we’re encountering in the school system are working in both of us patience, resilience, endurance, and a good work ethic. Life isn’t easy, but doing hard things with and for the people you love is a privilege.
